Commemorating an African Martyr
The Bernard Mizeki Commemoration is an annual gathering of Anglican Church members in celebrating the life and legacy of one of the Anglican Church’s most inspiring martyrs. Bernard Mizeki, was a courageous missionary and teacher, who dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel in Southern Africa during the late 19th century. His unwavering faith and service to the people of Zimbabwe, even in the face of persecution, continue to inspire believers worldwide.
Each year, Zimambwean families from Anglican fellowship across Australasia (Australia and New Zealand) come together to commemorate Bernard Mizeki’s extraordinary life, reflecting on his devotion to God and his mission to serve others. This special event is a time for worship, fellowship, and a renewed commitment to sharing the Gospel in our own communities
